CHURCH REVITALIZATION

Become a

Vintage Church

Is your church facing challenges that hinder its growth and mission? Have you struggled with steady decline and difficulty gaining momentum in church life and ministry? Are you looking for ways to bring new life and direction to your church? Or perhaps you have been going at it alone and are feeling called to be a part of something bigger.

At Vintage Church, we're offering a unique opportunity for church revitalization through merging into our family of churches.

Our Church Revitalization program is open to churches in Central Texas, with an active interest in the South Killeen, Copperas Cove, Burnett, Lampasas, Salado, Pflugerville, College Station, Waco and Robinson areas.

Revitalization Process

We provide a pathway for churches to revitalize their ministry and ensure longevity. Our process involves a thorough assessment of your church's history and current state, to understand your unique circumstances, challenges, and opportunities. The process includes the following 8 stages:

  • In this phase, we establish contact and initiate the conversation about a possible revitalization. This conversation should allow us to gauge the church's initial interest in joining Vintage Church and understand the broad reasons for considering a merger.

  • The candidate church will complete a comprehensive questionnaire to help us better understand your church's current situation, including its staffing, financials, and assets, as well as alignment with Vintage Church's structure and strategy.

  • This phase involves engagement with members of the Regional Leadership Team who will conduct an in-depth review of the information obtained in the discovery phase, and may also include site visits, interviews with key staff members, and thorough financial audits. The objective of this phase is to get a deeper understanding of the church's culture, ministry impact, financial health, and potential for growth.

  • The discoveries and assessment details are presented to our Governing Board of Elders for a comprehensive review and evaluation. All mergers and acquisitions require unanimous approval from The Governing Board of Elders.

  • In this phase, the Governing Board of Elders reviews all collected data and feedback. They will consider the alignment of the church with Vintage Church's mission, vision, doctrine, and strategy. The Board then votes on whether to proceed with the revitalization.

  • Following approval from the Governing Board of Elders, the church moves into the transition phase. Vintage Church will support the incoming church with resources, guidance, and expertise to help ensure a smooth transition. This phase may involve changes in branding, communication, technology systems, and services to align with Vintage Church practices. This phase will also include the dissolution of previous governing body and the transfer of all assets to Vintage Church Texas, Inc.

  • In this phase, existing staff members from the incoming church will undergo an evaluation process, in which they will re-apply and interview for their positions. They will be evaluated based on their alignment with Vintage Church values, individual competencies, and their fit in the new structure. Some may retain their current roles, some may be offered new roles, and some may be transitioned off the staff team.

  • Upon successful integration, the incoming church becomes a full member of the Vintage Church Family of Churches, partaking in all the support, benefits, and shared resources that come with including in our unified family. This includes regional support of finance, operations, communications, local ministry support, coaching, and connection with other Lead Pastors and staff across various locations.

By the end of this journey, the revitalized church is poised to make a powerful, lasting impact in its community as part of the Vintage Church family, guided by our shared mission, vision, values and strategy.

Vintage Church

Prior to starting the conversation, it is important that you get to know who we are and what we are about. Prior to going multi-site, our Senior Pastor, Regional Leadership Team and Governing Board of Elders created “About Us”, which serves as our guiding strategic document and will give you a picture into how our church is led and governed as well as how we employ specific strategics across all locations that foster unity and keep us on mission.

2023 LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Each year we host an Annual Conference where leaders from all of our locations gather to connect with each other and to learn from our Senior Pastor and Leadership Team. This conference is also a great opportunity for churches interested in joining our family to hear more about our mission, vision and values.
